To paint, painters use two ladders that are spaced apart and connected with a board, set at a certain height, as a platform to move around nimbly. This concept inspired the idea for the beautiful bookshelf at Staircase, a designer furniture piece that will add a touch of personality to your room.

A nice system allows, by placing an additional bracket at the bottom, to join several bookshelves together and thus extend the shelf area.

DESIGN PRODUCT

Conceived and designed by Italian designer Mario Mazzer, who graduated in architecture from the Milan Polytechnic in 1978 and graduated in Industrial Design from the Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan in ’79. Here he trained in the 1970s, collaborating with the masters of Italian design, and in 1980 he founded Mario Mazzer Architects in Conegliano Veneto.

A multiple award winner, in 1996 he received honorable mention at the ID Annual Design Review in New York. By showing his works, he has made a great contribution to promoting the popularity of Italian products in the world.

The Staircase bookcase shelf is extremely well thought out in its details and choice of materials. It consists of:

• 4×4 cm natural beech solid wood uprights
• No. 5 matt lacquered white MDF shelves
• Light blue joints
